Back to school? No, thank you.

Whether checkered, tartan, or houndstooth, we’ll all be marching straight into Fall 2013 with a wardrobe of plaid jackets, dresses, trousers, and more.”ELLE Magazine

What I Wore: Motel Rocks Top | GOWIGASA Red Plaid Shorts and Square Backpack | Do-A-Fashion Navy Coat | Boots from Japan
It’s that time of year again – Back to school! So why not make it the theme for today’s outfit! :)I chose these shorts because I think plaid always plays along with that school-girl look. And this navy coat is the ideal pick for this theme because not only does it cover me up, it also kind of looks like a school blazer, don’t you think?

For the top instead of wearing a white button up shirt like a typical school uniform, I chose this mesh cropped top with cross beads to add a bit of goth element to the look. Wouldn’t it be cool if my hair is black with straight bangs just like Gogo Yubari from Kill Bill? Ha!

Actually this is far from the school uniform I used to wear. Sooo far that the only things I would be allowed to wear from this outfit are my backpack and coat! Not even colored soft-lenses.

Writing this post just reminded me of how much relieved I am to have graduated from my school.

  2. Oh my! You are so very beautiful. so very stylish,
I love your outfit……!!!!! so perfectly casual…..love the sheer black tights especially, with the lovely shorts ….so cute………..
Love your look……. You are gorgeous..
You’re so chic! …and you have such a great sense of style.
I adore your hair …I've worn my hair long forever and it is perfect on you, love the color adore the length
You match perfectly…everything you wear…… you certainly make a super statement…..

I grew up in tights, being in ballet for 13 years. In fact, mom raised me rather androgynously, so I also wore tights under big sweaters and hip length tunics and such around the house growing up. Your lovely look reminds me of all those days….epsecially when the delivery man would come and I’d meet him at the door and he’s refer to me as Miss……
Oh, by the way, I’m a guy…and I love fashion as much as I love dance.
I traveled in Europe this past fall,
It looks like you have the same affinity for tights as I have…..

I’ve been raving to my new friends about how much I love the tights/shorts look, so they encouraged me to try it myself…
and I have in a big way,….. denim cutoffs, high waisted shorts, even a romper…….
I will following your blog religiously….. thanks for sharing your lovely taste and your beauty
